In-Kind Sponsorship Requests
How to request and value sponsorships paid in goods or services instead of cash.

Treat in-kind like cash
Food, venue, signage, prizes and professional services all lower your costs and deserve a place in your packages. Assign each item a fair cash value so it maps cleanly onto your tiers.
Define what you will and won't accept
Be specific about quantities, brands and delivery dates. A vague in-kind ask leads to mismatched donations you cannot use. Put the requirements in the package description.
Give the sponsor appropriate recognition
Value recognition to the size of the contribution. Product sponsors often appreciate photos and tags; service sponsors often want a credit and an introduction to your audience.
Track what was promised and delivered
Keep a simple record of each in-kind sponsor, what they committed and when it arrived. This becomes your renewal list next year.
